My daughter began her piano journey at age eight and continued until she started college. Along the way, she briefly attended two other music schools due to location conflict, but neither matched the high standards of Opus, so she returned to her original school. My son is a beginner in piano and has been working with Kimberley Walters since he began last year. He has come a long way in that time due to Kimmi's consistent ability to adapt to his personality and individual challenges as a learner. She approaches her position with creativity, flexibility, and nuance, which makes for a safe learning environment and has helped my son get through the difficulties of being a beginner in music. She has helped him do more than he and I thought possible in the year that they have worked together, and she has been instrumental (ha!) in developing his belief in his ability to try something new and find success in the early stages. We are moving from the area in a few weeks and will miss working with Kimmi so much. Opus and Ms Marisela are just amazing. I can not say enough about them. My kids have worked with 3 teachers over the last 2 years, and they are all awesome. Everyone is very kind and patient. My daughter was new to piano and has been taking piano lessons here for over a year. She really enjoys it and loves her piano teacher. She also enjoys performing at the semi-annual recital. We see how much she improves in a year (Thanks to her incredible teachers -Ms. Marisela and Ms. Mila!) and also continues growing her passion in piano.
